I had the opportunity to help in the send off of my friend’s beautiful Grandmother Netta 💜 this was a true honor. Netta’s Daughter (who stood by me while I did her Mum’s makeup) told me beautiful stories of her and shared in her life and memories. She also told me Netta chose her Purple outfit more than 15 years ago to be buried in. She knew exactly what she wanted 💜 and I loved all the little details. What stood out to me was how much of a Mummy’s girl her daughter was. She at one point touched her hand and said “I’m so glad you got to be my Mommy. I wouldn’t want any other Mom” 🥺 I high key wanted to cry. This is what I’d imagined the end of my life to be. My daughter standing over me, proud and happy to have had me as her Mum and sending me off. Never in a million years thought it would be the other way around. So to witness that yesterday felt incredibly special in a way I can’t explain. Days like these really give you a lot to think about. Thank you so much again Danie for trusting me with Gran’s Glam 🫶🏾🤍 Netta was not a huge fan of makeup so I tried to stay true to that while making her look beautiful for her send off.
