The journey through the lens continues. Today I shot on long bay with Nicole, who, as you know, is an incredible dancer and moves so gracefully from pose to pose, and Rai who has never modeled before but is so photogenic you wouldn’t believe it. We shot at @vision_tci on Long Bay Beach where we found a beautiful pine tree that set the scene for our boho inspired shoot. On the technical side, I feel like my camera is having some auto focus issues and the images aren’t quite as sharp as I like but what do you expect with a $500.00 cannon 🤦🏻 maybe it’s time to upgrade? Hey Instagram peeps! The DJ bookings have been a little sparse lately so I decided to spend some free time developing a photography portfolio. I wanted to shoot something a little risqué, nothing too explicit, but something fun and cheeky. My friend Nicole was open to the idea so we shared some thoughts and came up with an indie rock theme. (I don’t know if it comes across in the shoot but we did listen to a lot of The Strokes). The coolest thing about Nicole is she’s a professionally trained dancer which totally came out as she modeled. Always moving into these wonderful poses, changing shape and face so that every picture was slightly different. It was really lovely working with her. Because I’m still new to photography, I’m trying not to do any editing. That’s a whole other art form and I’m just trying to shoot what my eye sees.
