August Members Monthly Meeting Topic: Notary & Law⚖️ by Notary Mayrène Marugg-Helmeyer. In 2019 Mayrène Marrugg-Helmeyer gave an informative and eye-opening session during November’s Monthly Members’ meeting, where she explained the important factors, the "Need to Know” about inheritance, family law, & corporate law. Due to high demand by our members, we planned a second session, taking into account the changes made to Aruba’s ‘Civil Code’ that will be enforced on September 1, 2021. During this interactive session, Notary Mayrène focused on the differences between Cohabitation Agreements, Registered Partnerships, Marriages, Legal Guardians and key points to consider when making a testament, among others. We want to thank our speaker, @mayrenemarugg for empowering our members with knowledge once again! During our meeting we also had the pleasure of welcoming our new member Eliènne Croes. We, in the workforce have an obligation to pay income taxes once every year. Most of us don’t really understand how to do this right and it’s for that reason WOWAruba decided to empower our members with this knowledge.
