Last week, the consumer PR team visited our client @roketsulondon, the UK’s first Kaiseki restaurant, as they re-opened following a summer break. Welcoming autumn with an abundance of culture and flavour, the team experienced September’s 10-course monthly changing menu, which this month celebrates the festival of Kiki no Sekku - directly translating as Chrysanthemum festival. Behind the scenes, Spider has been busy creating noise around the exclusive Marylebone restaurant with coverage appearing in The Financial Times, The Times, The Nudge, Hot Dinners and GQ Online to name a few.
Spider client @justlovefoodcompany has conducted research delving into parent’s attitudes towards sending their children with food allergies to school. The survey of 1,000 UK parents of children with food allergies uncovered 42% were concerned when their child started school. Valid concerns, as 29% of their children have had an allergic reaction whilst at school. Last month, Spider worked with HYPER JAPAN to put on their 13th festival, this year taking place at Olympia London. The festival showcased the very best of Japan’s incredible food, art and culture, with over 300 exhibitors over the weekend including Japanese street food, stage performers, workshops, and 200 tables full of original artwork and handmade goods. Spider generated media buzz around the event and invited key press and influencers to attend and visit exhibits such as the MIO sparkling sake station and Japan Store. Members of the Spider team helped out over the weekend make sure everything ran smoothly!
