All good things come to an end. Waffles de Liege will be closing our Pasadena operation on March 17, 2019. It has been an amazing 8 year run, from opening our truck at Speedzone in 2011 to our Pasadena opening in 2014. But like many things in life, journeys come to an end and we must embark on new adventures and opportunities. That is the only way we can continue to challenge ourselves and grow. . Make no mistake, running a food business is hard work, filled with long hours and razor thin margins. And so much of your success is dependent on factors out of your control. Despite all this, I would not trade the past 8 years of experience for anything else. I have met some truly amazing and kind people on this journey, and learned a lot about myself in the process. . So what’s next for myself and Lawrence? We will be moving on with our individual projects and shelving Waffles de Liege. I will be moving to Houston for the next four years, and Lawrence will embark on a new career pathway. We want to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing people we had the chance to work with, and to all those who supported us and believed in our idea and concept, we owe you everything. . When we started, our goal was to introduce people to Liege waffles. In that regard, I think we were wildly successful. Who knows, maybe there will be an opportunity to bring things back in the not so distant future.
