Included in the endangered species category on the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List, it highlights just how crucial conservation efforts are to keep the King of the Jungle around for a while. Some interesting facts about lions: 1. A lions mane will change colour as it grows older, going from light to dark. 2. Females are the mightier hunters, hunting 80% to 90% of the time. 3. A mother’s love exists everywhere! A few weeks ago Lacy gave birth to her cubs. Cheetah cubs are born with a thick grayish mane, providing a layer of camouflage from predators. Aubrey is a qualified level 3 tracker, but due to covid and unforeseen circumstances he ended up making and selling items on the streets of Hoedspruit.
