Another year around the radiant sun and I'm very grateful. I started leaning into my strengths and being conscious of where my energy felt at most peace this year vs an energy that was constantly criticizing myself. Self love is challenging but it's easily the best act of service one can do for themselves. The word that is my inspiration for this new year is Kintsugi: "The ancient Japanese art of mending broken objects with gold teaches us that if we choose to embrace our struggles and repair ourselves with love. I flew thousands of miles, had 2 injuries, 4 hours of sleep in 2 days, medication, 1 meal in 30 hours, just to catch 2023 in Europe. ✨ I had a lot of time to think on this journey and I asked myself what do I want out of 2023. For me, 2023 will be the Year of Hope which also happily coincides with the Year of the Water Rabbit 🐇. The sign of Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. 🙏 So I wish all of you the same. Hope, good health, and self love. I added a new country, I was grateful for every day, was on a pina colada and cheese quesadilla diet, my bikinis got tighter and tighter, and learned that my French has gone completely downhill.
