Here, in case you missed it, the Ministry of Trade and Industry recaps some of the main points. “Three Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Loan Guarantee Programmes in partnership with commercial banks and administered by First Citizens Trustee Services are in place to provide a stable and favourable debt market for small and medium enterprises: 1️⃣The SME Loan Guarantee Programme Phase 1, has disbursed 262 loans to a value of $24 million; 2️⃣ The SME Loan Guarantee Programme Phase 2, has disbursed 733 loans to a value of $153 million; and 3️⃣The Government Agent Administered Loan-by-Loan Guarantee Scheme under which we have disbursed 47 loans to a value of $50 million.” ~ The Honourable Colm Imbert, Minister of Finance #SME #SMELoan #Entrepreneur #Financing

#Trade Meetings Continue: Senator the Honorable Paula Gopee-Scoon , Minister of Trade and Industry, received a courtesy visit today from His Excellency William Howard Bush, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Trinidad and Tobago. Minister Gopee-Scoon warmly welcomed Ambassador Bush to Trinidad and Tobago, and acknowledged that Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia continue to maintain good relations in trade. Discussions also included opportunities to strengthen trade and investment relations between both countries and ongoing negotiations to expand the list of products offered preferential access under the CARICOM-Colombia Agreement on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation. Also in attendance were Mr. Randall Karim, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Mrs. Heidi Cortes, Second Secretary at the Mission.
