We encourage our team and our community members to spend the day listening, learning, reflecting, and taking action. Not sure where to start? Here are some ideas: ☀️Listen to a podcast or read a book by an Indigenous author on Truth and Reconciliation and the impacts of the Residential School System in Canada ☀️Support Indigenous organizers by attending a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event online or in-person ☀️Donate to a non-profit or charity that supports survivors of the residential school system in Canada ☀️ Wear orange ☀️Taking your own step(s) - share your ideas below! #TruthAndReconciliation #HonourTheDay #OrangeShirtDay

Sunalta is beautifully diverse and there are always cultural activities to take part in! ☀️ One of our favourite events this year was when @kyle.yp came to our Sun Tots program for fancy dancing and spent time teaching the little ones about his regalia. The kids had a blast dancing and learnt so much from Kyle! Thanks danianimal for capturing the day with this amazing graphic! Stay tuned each week for more of Danielle's work! 💥 #yycHubs #sunaltayyc
