It was captured by using the rover’s microscopic camera on its arm to celebrate 5,000 days on Mars. India has successfully launched their Chandrayaan-3 mission to the Moon, and they plan on becoming the fourth nation to successfully land on our lunar neighbour. This is the third lunar mission for the Indian space agency, following the failure and crash of their previous mission in 2019. Chandrayaan-3 consists of a lander and small rover which are expected to touch down near the lunar south pole in late August. #spaceexploration #chandrayaan3 #indianspaceagency #lunarmission
