We believe that empowering parents in vulnerable communities will ensure children receive all the holistic care and protection they require to grow up in a nurturing environment. For majority of women from such communities, the idea of earning a respectable livelihood without compromising on taking care of their children is a farfetched thought. Through our 1000+ Self Help Groups spread out across different topographies of the country, women convene fortnightly to discuss important subjects like holistic parenting, strengthening household finances, health, sanitation and social issues. We support, encourage and provide relevant information to these enterprising torchbearers of the communities for setting up a livelihood, which can further be taken up by other members of the society. Exciting News from our Self Help Group communities in Tanda and Sakal village, Bhopal! Under our Family Strengthening Programme, communities near Bhopal City, have taken a creative leap! They've learned an incredible new skill to generate income and support women from the Banjara their families. 45 caregivers from the community embarked on an amazing journey of Rakhi making using cow dung powder. Yes! You read that right. They mixed it with fevicol, shaped it using various moulds, and beautifully adorned the rakhis with colours and accessories. The entire village enthusiastically joined in, and with the provision of raw materials by the resource person, the women packed the rakhis in attractive boxes and have sold all their creations. Let's applaud these incredible women for their creativity, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit. We had an incredible day in our Family Strengthening Programme community, as we joined hands with amazing corporates BorgWarner, Siegwerk, AirIndia Limited, Konika Minolta and Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited to make a positive impact on our environment. Together, we organized a grand plantation drive, adding greenery to our surroundings and nurturing the earth for a better tomorrow.
