We would like to recognize Jacob Peddycord, the winner of Race 64. We asked Peddycord how it felt to win the race and how he feels now, a few months later… “It is pretty much the gift that keeps on giving. The best part was getting the win for the guys on my team because they put in so much work into the kart throughout the month. It was also great to get the win for Harrison Hall, our sponsor Blue Horseshoe, and Jimmy Simpson, the person who provided us a fantastic kart. I cannot say enough for how thankful I am [to have their help]. It made what came after the race that much sweeter! After we had won, we kind of turned into celebrities on campus. It was crazy; I would say one in four people knew we had won and would congratulate us… It was an amazing experience and at the time, I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was to win.” Jacob Peddycord wants to recognize Harrison Hall, Jimmy Simpson, and their sponsor Blue Horseshoe above all.
