➕◾️🇩🇰 A Classic Model 118/2 sofa by one of the Queens of Danish modern design Grete Jalk just hit the floor in our Chinatown showroom. This is an early production from the 1950s in teak with original sprung cushions, all new foam coverings, and Maharam Mode fabric. ◾️➕

➕◾️🇩🇰 We have very few pieces in the Permanent Pray for Modern Collection, but this piece is certainly one of them. Friends of ours had a store in Ottawa durning the 1960s-1970s, and custom ordered a pair of Brazilian Rosewood “China” chairs from Fritz Hansen in 1969. A number of years ago they were kind enough to reach out and ask for assistance in selling some pieces from their collection. We sold the China chairs and it always felt like “the one that got away.” In light of this strange affinity to an inanimate object, we contacted the person who bought one, and he agreed to sell it back us. These chairs showcase a captivatingly sculpted armrest and the illusion of a "floating" seat and backrest, elegantly supported by a teak frame. Our team's meticulous restoration has transformed them into opulent pieces, adorned with sumptuous leather by Edelman. We spared no expense in bringing them back to their former glory. ◾️➕
