Op 10 december 1822 werd componist César Franck in Luik geboren. Zijn geboortestad viert dat volgend jaar met tal van activiteiten, inclusief een tentoonstelling. Pronkstuk op die tentoonstelling wordt ongetwijfeld de orgelspeeltafel die Aristide Cavaillé-Coll omstreeks 1858 bouwde voor de Sainte-Clotildekerk in Parijs, vlak na de aanstelling van Franck als organist in die kerk. De speeltafel (Museum Vleeshuis/collectie Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen) vertrok gisteren naar Luik. Wij kijken alvast uit naar de tentoonstelling daar!
