“How would your life be different if you learned to let go of the things that have already let go of you?”⁣ ⁣ We often tend to hold on to things for too long. Our past, toxic relationships, dead-end friendships, regrets, grudges, who we used to be, achievements we made years ago, sports that were a huge part of our childhood and what we used to compete in. For me I held onto gymnastics for far too long after retiring and always tried to maintain many of the skills so I wouldn’t lose them and would go to open gyms etc because it’s all I knew and it can feel like an identity crisis when it’s gone because it feels like it’s a part of you, even if your hearts no longer fully in it. Which meant I held onto it and never really ventured into anything new. ⁣ ⁣ But I can happily say I’ve now found a new love in Muay Thai and Boxing and have finally let that past go and it feels so freeing and so exciting🤩 I love being a beginner at something because it means there’s so much room to grow. Some of yesterday’s training🔥 I was not feeling training yesterday, but of course we got it done anyway because our emotions shouldn’t dictate our actions. It’s about discipline, not motivation. And it was one of the best sessions I’ve had. Sometimes it takes one spark to ignite the whole damn fire - whatever excuse you’ve got, just light the match; put your gym clothes on, lace up your trainers and get yourself to the gym - even if you initially plan to go there just to warm up. ⁣ ⁣ Start on that task you’ve been procrastinating for days, weeks or months. Tell yourself you’re just going to work on that task for 5 minutes.
