You think you need motivation, but what you need is results and routines. After a shitty week of training, I finally had a great session today. One of the biggest problem with fitness and working out, must be the belief of needing motivation in order to get to workout. Seriously, if I would sit around waiting for motivation every workout I would still be left sitting at the same spot. To let go of the thought of motivation as needed for working out is a big relief, belive me! My go to is instead my routines, needs and discipline – my saviors! The difference between sometimes pushing through and actually recongnize when in need of real rest, is sometimes a fine line, but to find strategies for findning out exactly that must be so much more clever than wasting a lot of f*ing time on serching for the secret key of motivation? By the way, here’s motivation according to Wikipedia: ”Motivation is the psychological sign of giving a person or animal power to do something, which means initiate, continue or terminate a certain behaviour at a particular time. Different mental states compete with each other and only the strongest state determines behaviour”.
