Still can’t get over our Grand Opening yesterday. Here’s some snippets of ✨OUR SHOP✨ (what?!?) and a very condensed thank you that I’ve been struggling to say without ugly crying and blubbing through it (like Rachel and Monica saying goodbye… IYKYK) To my LADS- Sally, Claire, Helen, Charlotte, Chloe & Emma (our honorary LAD and flower witch)… I don’t know what I would do without you. Thank you to each of you for playing such an integral part in this latest adventure. Honestly at this stage it’s not ‘I couldn’t have done it without you’ (which so obviously goes without saying 😂😂🫠) it’s ‘I wouldn’t WANT to have done any of it without every one of you’ - us all being a team is one of my greatest accomplishments and pulling this together is just one example of what we are capable of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I love you so much!!! X

Let’s be honest, “previous 3 projects that still remain unfinished” is modest at best. 😂🙈 Thinking about launching this one as a pattern and a knit kit in a few colour ways (purple, pink & monochrome I reckon?) if you fancy it? 🧶❤️

The biggest transformation yet at our shop and one that’s made SUCH an amazing difference! The LADs and I pulled up all the carpet last week, every inch of it was glued to the floor 😅🙈 and then the wonderful @m2floorlaying came and laid this herringbone masterpiece for us 🔥 We’re aiming to open July 1st so pencil it into your calendars and please come admire/walk/roll on our floor with us! (There will be yarn and knitting stuff also) CANNOT WAIT TO WELCOME YOU IN!!! ❤️🧶💫

Not Every British Person the moment the sun pops out ☀️🥂😂🙈 The suns shown a bit of its face the last few days and you just KNOW I’ve been in the garden moving the furniture about and throwing around sentences like ‘shall we just bbq dinner tonight?’ And ‘do we have a paddling pool or did the mice eat it?’ 😂 But seriously… how fast does the washing dry on a good day?!

Are you ‘Easter Ready’?! As we’re not religious, getting ‘easter ready’ used to simply involve heading to my mother in laws for lunch and ensuring I was wearing trousers with an elasticated waist 👌🏼 But with a 2 year old, our ‘Easter Ready’ has hit new heights. There’s egg painting, wreath making, trying to find something non-chocolate to make an Easter egg hunt just as fun (I’m avoiding that sugar rush for as long as possible!) and of course there’s bunny ear knitting 🐰🫶🏼 it’s practically a sport! All baskets and baking. I can’t wait to see her darting about with her little bunny ears on though (if she tolerates wearing them, if not then I know a dog who likes to dress up 🙄😂🙈) and there’s where the joy is isn’t it? (And yes, these bunny ears ARE for my toddler and yes my head is so small they fit me like a glove 😹🙈😬) ✨ Also just to add that a wonderful weekend can of course be had by all WITHOUT all this shit, please don’t feel bad if you’ve not made a spring wreath! 🙄 … It’s definitely not about all that stuff, that’s just how we’re choosing to do it this year, in our house. 📣 Book recommendations please! 📚 I’ve been ‘in hiding’, escaping from social media while we settle into our new house and I’ve been LOVING reading. I’m after Un-put-down-able reads, pretty please send them my way! WE HAVE A SHOP!! 🥳🍾🎉🎈 (And thank goodness Sally is there to open it 😂🫠) this morning we picked up the keys to our new studio-shop based in Exeter, on the Quay. We can’t wait to get started decorating it and moving in! We’re 🤞🏼 hoping 🤞🏼to be open by June. So the question is; are you ready for a LAD shop? (And more to the point… are we?! 😳😂)

Just before Christmas, we loaded a lorry with all our stuff, waved it off and then tried to capture a picture outside our empty home in Exeter, remembering the joy and the life changes that happened within these four walls, surrounded by the sea and the city and the people ❤️ Then we climbed in our cars and drove up the motorway (one of us sobbing, loudly, singing along to Taylor Swift) where we started our next chapter in the West Midlands. I know it’s the end of the chapter and not the whole story but FUCK was it a great read.
