Next time you are traveling the stretch of I-95 between Brunswick and Savannah, maybe pull over for a quick stop at the Christ’s Chapel in Memory Park, located two minutes off the highway. Claiming to be the “smallest church in America,” visitors may ring the chapel’s bell, leave prayer requests, or just enjoy serenity in tiny form. When the pandemic hit a couple years ago, Jax Mag was in the process of renovating our 100-year-old duplex in Riverside, turning it from a home into office space. After a few months standing empty because the staff was working remotely, we decided to adapt to the situation and turn the house into an Airbnb, which it's been for about two years now. We have decorated it with local memorabilia and art, old computer gear, a record player and other stuff we planned to display in the office. We're pretty pleased how it turned out. So, if you have family or friends coming into town for a visit, and would like to stay a couple blocks from 5 Points, we've got the cutest, most "Jax" apartment around.

The new issue of Jax Mag is almost complete, featuring two different covers this month. Subscriber copies will be in the mail soon. Distribution on newsstands starts next week. The issue is deliciously good, if you don't mind us saying.

Save the date: The St. Augustine Spanish Food & Wine Festival is set for February 23-25. The festival's mission is to connect St. Augustine to the city’s Spanish history through a series of special events that feature Spanish wine, cuisine and culture. The festival also raises money for local charities such as this year's beneficiary, the Flagler College Hospitality and Tourism Management program. There will be tapas. Lots and lots of tapas!

THE PLAYERS Championship announced today that country music star Riley Green will be headlining its annual Military Appreciation Day Concert. Green is a singer-songwriter who was named ACM’s New Male Artist of the Year and MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year in 2020. His hits include, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and “There Was This Girl” and current single, “Half of Me” with Thomas Rhett has been dominating the country charts. This year’s Military Appreciation Day Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m. on the Island Green 17th Hole. The Military Appreciation Day Ceremony and Concert is free to any Tuesday ticket holder; a Tuesday Stadium Pass starts at $30.

Now, we're not saying we're wholly responsible for the Jaguars late season success... but we think maybe we deserve some of the credit.
