We have noticed a lot of new friends join us on here recently. We just want to take a second to introduce ourselves 👋🏾 🤎 Haiti Made was founded by @hafproject to provide a sustainable solution to young men and women moving out of residential orphanage care into independent living. 🤎 Haiti Made is united around quality products, dignified jobs, and economic sustainability in an effort to diminish Haiti's poverty cycles and join a real fight against the orphan and child slavery crisis in Haiti. 🤎 Haiti Made was born out of a deep desire to see the Haitian people empowered by sustainable and dignified employment as a part of a larger effort to promote economic growth and a fight to keep families together. Our hope is to see the Haitian people holding the keys to their economic recovery, empowered to envision a brighter future. 🤎 Haiti Made is committed to paying a living wage. Haiti Made team members make a living wage at least 2-3 times Haiti's minimum wage, and each team member has an equal opportunity to climb the ranks in the organization to become middle and upper managers. 🤎 Our leather is old-world saddle-grade leather, certified veg-tan, and finished with neatsfoot oil. Our Products are handmade with love and prudence, each one its own unique art piece. Some Haiti Made products are made, start to finish, by one Haiti Made team member individually. Other Haiti Made products require a more collaborative production effort and thus have been touched and made with many different hands, each doing their part to get to the final product—beautifully handmade products, supporting jobs in Haiti. We love our team. We love this family. Our team members have come from many different walks of life, and we love watching our team thrive. Thank you for partnering with us to continue to help promote economic growth and a fight to keep families together. #HaitiMade

If we had to pick a favorite, the Doré Tote would make the list. The hand-stitched details and suede leather give it a Western feel, but copper-tone rivets bring a raw vintage look. It's roomy, wearable, and durable. Imagine all of your daily must-haves in this carry-all design tote! #haitimade
Our leather is old-world saddle grade leather, certified veg-tan, and finished with neatsfoot oil. Here at Haiti Made, we believe the leather says it all, with each "side" being special and unique, having a history, and carrying marks and character making up each handmade product. Every leather product is handmade with love and prudence, each one its own unique art piece. We want to hear the history of your leather good! What stories do your item's markings tell? #HaitiMade
On busy production days, you can see an assembly line of multiple products going at once. As you walk the aisles between tables, your hands run on each side, touching smooth leather and plush yarn. The clicking of hats being knit, the pounding of hammers stamping leather, and the humming of conversation over the radio can be heard. The smell of leather conditioner is distinct, but not so much that it overpowers the savory aroma of lunch being prepared in nearby kitchens. The humid, warm Caribbean air and subtle mountain breeze serve as a reminder that you're really in Haiti. Dedication and creativity converge in this place to empower lives and shape a brighter future. #HaitiMade
