Among the dead are women, and children under 16 years of age. The destroyed buildings include an IDP nursery school, IDP middle school, and a Lisu church. Please pray in solidarity with us for the people of Kachin and of Burma as they endure these heinous and senseless Burma Army attacks on their territories.

Rickets Rickets, classically identified by bowed legs, is a historically important childhood disease of vitamin D deficiency, usually arising when there is inadequate sunlight exposure and insufficient dietary D3 during childhood. Dietary D3 is best found in fatty fish, egg yolks and liver. Our bodies naturally need sunshine to produce vitamin D. We recently received these photographs from Naw "Gaile," seen last month at the Jungle School of Medicine, demonstrating the classic appearance of calcipenic rickets with bowed femurs and tibias, wide wrists, and poor muscle tone. Treatment is sunlight and oral supplementation of vitamin D3 and calcium. Thank you for allowing us to continue delivering aid, love, and hope to the children of Burma! JSMK Team

Proud for our Syria Ranger team to support the Farah Center for Children with Cancer in Rojava's Girkê Legê city, near Rumilan City, Syria. We stand by their noble mission with the slogan, "We plant hope, to erase pain." Led by the remarkable Lena Mirza, who tragically lost five family members to cancer, this specialized center provides free activities and programs for 20-25 children battling this disease. The center relies on individual contributions, and its passionate team of specialists volunteer their expertise to bring smiles and hope to these young warriors.

Rebuilding Futures the Burma Army Could Not Destroy Dooplaya District, Karen State, Burma The following report provides information from one district of Karen State, Burma – Dooplaya District – sharing reports from FBR teams on the ground that show how the Burma Army has terrorized their own people, forcing thousands to flee their homes and places of work, hiding in the jungle as Burma Army soldiers strafe villages from Russian Mi24 attack helicopters or drop bombs from Russian YAK fighter jets. Over the last six months, local sources report frequent bombings in this area, including one instance in which 20 bombs were dropped in a single attack. During this time, Burma Army attacks have killed three civilians, including a 12-year-old, and injured eleven, many of whom were children. The Burma Army has continued their pattern of human rights violations by targeting their attacks at schools, clinics, homes, and religious centers. What the Burma Army has not done is stop the people from continuing their lives; the people have not given up. Over the last six months, Free Burma Rangers (FBR) and others in Karen State, as well as across the country, continue to rebuild schools, clinics, homes, and more, because, though they try, the Burma Army has not destroyed the people’s determination to fight for their lives and their futures. In the report there is a chronological log, from Rangers in the field, of Burma Army violence towards the civilian population in Dooplaya District, Karen State, Burma, and FBR team missions bringing help, hope, and love to the oppressed. The information included is not an exhaustive accounting of Burma Army activity but is limited to FBR reports from the specific area. See full report.
