At Family Legacy, our work is focused on one goal: glorifying God by serving the vulnerable and orphaned children of Zambia so they can live up to their God-given potential. Why should where you are born, determine anything less?

For over 18 years, Family Legacy has worked in Zambia to glorify God by empowering vulnerable and orphaned children to live out their God-given potential. In order to achieve good academic results and to reduce absenteeism, our child protection team was trained on “positive parenting”. ⁠ ⁠ Members from two of our partner organizations, Alliance for Children Everywhere and Save the Children are the ones who led the training. ⁠ ⁠ The training will enable the members of our child protection staff to engage parents/ guardians to be more involved in raising their children and will raise awareness of the importance of parents being present in the lives of the children. ⁠ ⁠ There is much supported research that shows that boys and girls with involved and loving parents perform better academically and show better social and emotional development.⁠ ⁠ Please pray for God to touch the parents to support, love and care for the children. For God to speak to the male parents/guardians specifically, to be present in the lives of their children and care for the family.⁠
