"We go until only one remains....." ⁠ ⁠ Running Wild Estes Park, Estes Valley Trail Runners & YMCA of the Rockies have collaborated to host the Rocky's Backyard Ultra Race this Saturday, October 14th.⁠ ⁠ The Backyard Ultra is a form of Ultra Trail race where runners must complete 4.167 miles in less than one hour, every hour, until only one runner remains to complete a lap. This runner is crowned the winner and only finisher, while all others will be marked as DNF. There is no predetermined end length or time - they go until only one remains! ⁠ ⁠ Want to be a part of the fun? Don't forget that starting today, Old Fall River Road will be closed to vehicles. After a few weeks of intermittent road maintenance, bikers and hikers will be the only users permitted on the trail from October 14th-November 30th, making for excellent conditions for folks looking for more room to ride!⁠ ⁠ Hermit Park is another spot near town to find some great single track with gorgeous views, and a casual ride around Lake Estes is always fun for the whole family!⁠ ⁠ Need to rent some bikes to start your adventure? Did you know? 🧗🏻⁠ ⁠ We host the Estes Park Climbing Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6:30! This club gives kids the opportunity to try both bouldering and belayed climbing, offers the chance to learn to belay, and allows them to gain independence in the climbing gym and beyond. ⁠ ⁠ In fact, the climbing club will soon be venturing out of our gym and onto the crag with the help of @kmacguides and @coloradomountainschool to give the kids experience on real rock walls!⁠ ⁠ Interested in having your child participate?
