Past Project: Magowan Park, Creggan, Derry Our past project in Creggan, Derry/Londonderry involved the construction of 127 Social Housing units with the associated infrastructure works at the site of an old school. The scheme consisted of 1 and 2 Bedroom Apartments as well as 2, 3 and 4 Bedroom Houses and 6 Complex Needs Houses. These Lifetime Standard Homes were built in a high demand area for social housing and were completed on time and on budget, with the final phase handed over in November 2015. EHA and Arbour Housing attended local Primary School, St. Patrick’s, Pennyburn to get some assistance with the naming of two streets at our Buncrana Road project. Rachel Clarke, Arbour Housing and Lee Whiteside, EHA Group Health & Safety Manager were delighted to present to the P7 class last week to explain the naming process. The children were encouraged to take part, considering local landmarks and history as the name should link to the locality. Four finalists will be chosen with the final name selected by the council. Past Project: The Breams Building, London Completed in 2015, The Breams was the conversion of a 5 storey office building, including basement area. EHA Group converted the building into 9 luxury apartments and added one new, light-weight storey to the build. This additional storey is home to a fantastic penthouse apartment enjoying a secure code lift entrance as well as a spacious private balcony area. The Breams is a building infused with history. We carefully retained the building’s stunning Georgian façade and period features. At plots 82-73 the team are currently finishing substructure block work for the slabs, at 40-48 they are pouring concrete for foundation’s while at 1-6 reduce digging is underway, getting ready to dig foundations. The holistic design of the development with high quality energy efficient homes, a play park and look out area benefits the health and wellbeing of residents since 2015, to today, and into the future. CIH Awards: Outstanding Contribution to Housing Owner and CEO Edward Allingham is shortlisted for Outstanding Contribution to Housing in the All-Ireland Chartered Institute of Housing Awards. Edward has delivered circa 5,000 houses if not more over the past 30 years across Ireland and England putting housing on the map in many towns. Past Project: Broadway House // Location: Bromley, London // Type: 43 Apartments // Programme: 13 months // Completed: 2017 Completed in 2017, Broadway House was an existing office block. The EHA team took the development through planning, design and build to the final turnkey handover. This project included an extensive strip out as well as structural changes required to accommodate an additional 2 floors, allowing for an extra 9 apartments in the development. Completion Pictures: Brookfield Mill Recently handed over, Brookfield Mill is now home to 77 families requiring housing in North Belfast. The converted mill provides 55 Apartments and 22 Duplex Apartments on the Crumlin Road, Belfast. The project was complex and was delivered throughout the COVID 19 pandemic. NI Health Minister Robin Swan visited the site to praise the workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing in place.
