He grew up in a broken family. Dragged from couch to couch as a child. Food nor housing were consistent. His mother addicted to drugs and suffered mental illness. His environment: poverty-stricken older peers with criminal histories. Involved with the law by 11 years old. Behind bars by 13 years old. In a near-fatal accident with a semi before he was 19-years-old. Shot numerous times with bullets barely missing vital organs. Life hanging in the balance. Then his story changed. His father took custody and changed his environment. He enrolled with @projectbridge_fl. His support system expanded. He enrolled in GED classes. He graduated! He enrolled in leadership classes. He excelled. He enrolled in business planning. He started a business. He enrolled in college. He starts next month (January 2022). People CAN change. With support, amazing things can happen! This is Eckerd Connects! THIS is our WHY! Anyone who desires to help a young person like this - #ConnectwithUS! Give through the link in bio. Be a part of a village!
