🌀 U.F.O.G.O. 🌀 “In 2023, the significant role of renewable energies in tackling the environmental crisis is blatant. In this context, wind power has once again been presented as a promising avenue for regions seeking to transition to renewable energy. However, concerns about their visual intrusion on surrounding environments pose a significant obstacle to their deployment. From a design perspective, this aesthetical factor is not insurmountable. On the contrary, it highlights the need for greater consideration of how we shape these technologies and integrate them into the environment and our lives. 💡 THE NEW FINAL FORM 💡 The New Final Form is the result of a cross-disciplinary workshop run by the 1st year students in the Product Design Master's programme. Working with Ceramaret, a company based in Bôle that specialises in new ceramic manufacturing processes, the students imagined today's electrical sockets and switches. They designed stencil cut in MDF plates. It presents a look at the current events of the semester: workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, trips… Led by Bachelor of Graphic Design students, the artistic direction is designed specifically for each issue, giving the print version its own unique character. For its twelfth edition, Offline focuses on the critical issues currently traversing the field of art and design, reflecting a desire to produce differently. 🚿 DESALINATED WATER SHOWER 🚿 ✨ ECAL Graduate Bachelor Industrial Design Yann Cistac Diploma project - Desalinated Water Shower "IThis public shower, located on the beach, uses desalinated water, which is pumped directly from the sea. The desalination system, powered by solar energy, produces 60L of clear water per hour. The base houses a metal casing that protects all the components. Once desalinated, the water is stored in a 1000L tank. A press on the tap triggers a 10-second flow. The aim of this project is to popularise the principle of desalination by introducing it into our daily lives.
