HOW TO REPORT CRIME IN DENVER Did you know that Denver has a ton of easy ways to report crime or suspicious activity? Text 911 is one of them -- call if you can, text if you can't. If the thing you are trying to report isn't an emergency but you still need police services, you can call our non-emergency line at 720-913-2000 and press 2 or file some reports online at denvergov.org/police -- just click the "Report Crime Now" button. You're also more than welcome to walk into any one of our six district stations. And if you want to submit a tip anonymously, you can do so by either calling Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or online at https://goo.gl/8Tu5ni. The Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC) also provides the opportunity to submit confidential tips concerning suspicious activity reports. Here's how: • CIAC 24/7 Phone line: 1-877-509-2422 • CIAC E-mail: [email protected] • Report Suspicious Behavior: https://goo.gl/KoZnMa • See Something/Send Something Mobile App: Called “See Send”, allows users to report suspicious behavior from the links section within the app. Tell your friends and for more info on the Smart911 program, visit Denvergov.org/911Now. . . . . . #Denver #DenverPolice #DenverPoliceDepartment #HowToReportCrime #DenverColorado #LawEnforcement #CommunitySafety #TheMoreYouKnow

SUNDAY MATINEE MINUTE: BEFORE THE BLUE & BEYOND THE BADGE On Monday, September 25, 2023, the Denver Police Department welcomed a new class of 25 recruit officers, and they are spending their first two weeks in DPD’s “Before the Blue and Beyond the Badge” orientation program. This program was launched in May as a way to provide new recruit officers a grassroots experience to familiarize them with the rich tapestry that is the City of Denver at the beginning of their Denver Police officer training. Part of this two-week orientation program includes a community service project and this class worked with Extreme Community Makeover for a neighborhood cleanup event -- check it out now!

DENVER IS LISTENING October is designated Domestic Violence Awareness Month and your Denver Police Department, along with other city agencies, invite the community to join us in listening to those who are experiencing domestic violence, also known as intimate partner violence. The City of Denver is committed to ensuring that those who experience abuse can access safety, services, and support. Survivors can request a response from Denver Police by calling or texting 911. Denver Police officers are trained and prepared to ensure the survivor's story is listened to and that they can be connected to the support they need, including police services – regardless of immigration status, which can sometimes be a deterrent to people coming forward for assistance. Your Denver Police Department (DPD) has a team of dedicated personnel and advocates to assist survivors of intimate partner violence, in addition to their specialized investigative team housed at the @rose_andom_center. DPD works to prevent intimate partner violence through the Domestic Violence Prevention Program by having Denver Police officers work with those who display behaviors that don’t rise to the level of a crime, but have potential to escalate into abuse, by providing information on anger management, substance abuse and more, so that those who need help have options to receive it. DPD responded to more than 1,330 of these types of prevention calls in 2022. Throughout the month of October, your Denver Police Department will continue to remind survivors that their voices are important and that there are many agencies available and willing to listen to their story and concerns. Additionally, information about available resources, domestic violence myths and red flags, and more can be found at denvergov.org/domesticviolence. . . . . . #dvam #dvam2023 #domesticviolenceawareness #denver #denvercolorado #denverpolice #denverpolicedepartment #fyp #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth
