It finally happened! Today, on September 15, Ethereum blockchain switched to the PoS cryptocurrency mining algorithm, which is more modern and does not require special equipment. This means that now the security of the blockchain will not be provided by miners in accordance with the Proof-of-Work protocol, but by validators, according to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) method. The same validators that we wrote about in the last post. That's because the CWD Global platform has been working on the PoS algorithm since 2019. According to the founders of the platform, compared to PoW, PoS is a more secure protocol that will consume less electricity, increase the speed of transactions to host various decentralized applications (dAapp) and provide the necessary infrastructure for the emergence of web 3.0. The transition of such a mastodon of the crypto market as Ethereum to another security algorithm is a landmark event in the market, indirectly confirming the effectiveness and security of algorithms for working on the CWD GLOBAL platform.

Blocks on CWD GLOBAL platform are produced through DPoS protocol, which requires  block creators to engage witnesses to validate blocks. In a moment one block is produced by one witness and validated by twenty block validators. The goal of a validator is to check blocks and approve transactions, after that a reward is paid. Validator is responsible for the security of the network because his work allows blockchain to function without failures. CWD Global validators as on other DPoS are elected by community voting. The voting is carried out according to Stake Weight Voting algorithm where the weight of the vote is defined by its stake. Apart from electing validators the voting also regulates their number. The number, last created blocks and votes are displayed on CWD.Global website. Right now there are 21 witnesses on the platform. For each block witness gets 5 CWD coins. But this is not the only expert verification of viability and systematic work of our platform.
