We’re loving @scar_of_the_sea wines (and cider!) that just landed in Texas! . The winery was founded in 2012 by Mikey and Gina Giugni in San Luis Obispo. . The couple works with sustainable farmers in Santa Maria Valley, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz, and are committed to low intervention winemaking techniques.
Say hello to Dolores Cabrera Fernández! @bodegalaaraucaria . Queen of Tenerife, the largest of the Spanish-owned Canary Islands, Dolores is crafting beautifully structured and distinctive wines from her old vine Listan Blanco and Listan Negro. . Her winery is situated in La Orotava DO, an area rich with fertile volcanic soils and a mix of agricultural products. . The Blanco is brand new to the states. Made of 100% Listan Blanco, skin-macerated for 8 days, aged on the lees for 7 months. . The Rosado is from 100-year Listan Negro vines from two plots. Macerated for 12 hours and aged in stainless steel tanks. . The Tinto is also from 100-year vines from a single vineyard situated at high elevation. Grapes are destemmed, fermented in tank and aged in old Burgundy barrels. . Label design by local Austin designer @vintelwine

He makes an incredible array of still and sparkling wines from local varieties, all organically farmed with some biodynamic preparations. . Find these three Frizzantes online! . 🟡”Joannizza” is a little know indigenous grape by the name of Joannita that Matteo planted 1 tiny hectare of 4 years ago. . 🟠”Macerato” is 10-day skin contact Pinot Gris re-fermented with frozen must. . 🔴Rosato is a direct-press Pinot Noir re-fermented with frozen must.
