The air is crisp and it’s feeling like it’s going to be the perfect first weekend for hot toddy’s around the fire pit!

In 2014 when I opened Becket Hitch I had been swooning over a handbag designer from LA for four years. Clare V. had beautiful fold over zippered clutches and a leather bag that embodied utilitarian luxury. I emailed, or maybe even called, to see about stocking the bags in the shop and was over the moon when they sent me a line sheet. I was the only person to stock @clarevivier for almost a decade in Baltimore. I have loved watching the line expand, watching our customers become fans, and seeing her brand recognition grow over the years. This afternoon we ordered an amazing assortment of bags and apparel from @shopclarev for spring and then went out for dinner on a beautiful NY night. As we sat down at our table we noticed Clare sitting down to drinks with friends. She noticed my bag and we had a quick chat. She was so lovely and it is a highlight to have met her.
