🦋 Could the butterfly pea flower be the 8th wonder of the world? In Hindi, she’s called Koyala. Her Latin name is Clitoria ternatea because the flowers of her vine resemble the mighty, magical female sex. In Indonesian and Malay, bunga telang (“eagle flowers”) is just one of this superbly underrated sapphire flower’s many names. Its origins in Southeast Asia + Ayurvedic medicinal applications have given rise to a wide range of edible actions, ranging from curative teas to savory blue rice. We’re huge fans of having ready-made functional foods to avoid the good ole glucose DIPS! Keep protein rich goodies in the office or in your bag 👛 for whenever hunger starts setting in and you’re not near your hearty meal. And, if in doubt before chewing on these, just shoot some apple cider vinegar before eating these btw (a-la @glucosegoddess suggestions!!) 😂 Chocolate Chip Protein Balls with butterfly pea glaze 🦋 and our Adaptogenic protein powder by the lovely @alison__wu For the protein balls: - 1 cup cashew (or almond) butter - 1 1/4 cup almond flour - 1/2 cup @animamundiherbals chocolate protein powder - 1 1/2 Tablespoons coconut oil. melted - 3 medjool dates, pitted - 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract - 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon almond extract 1.) mix all ingredients in a food processor until dough forms. 2.) using a rubber spatula, fold in 1/3 cup chocolate chunks (i used 1/2 a bar of 100% cacao unsweetened) and 1 teaspoon finishing salt. 3.) roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and set in freezer for at least 2 hours. For the coconut-cacao butter glaze: - 2 oz cacao butter - 4.5 oz coconut butter - 1/4 t almond extract - 1/2 teaspoon blue spirulina or @animamundiherbals butterfly pea 1.) melt together coconut and cacao butter in a double broiler over medium-low. remove from heat, whisk in almond extract and blue spirulina powder. allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. 2.) using 2 forks, dip each ball in the glaze and transfer to a parchment lined tray. freeze for 10 minutes to allow glaze to set. then dip again (optional) if you want a thicker coat of glaze. set again in the freezer for 10 minutes. 3.) decorate with crushed freeze dried blackberries, edible flowers, bee pollen, or anything you feel inspired by. store balls in the refrigerator (for up to 2 weeks) or in the freezer (for up to 3 months). this recipe makes 12 balls. #foodie #delicious #vegan #veganprotein #powerballs #adaptogens #plantbased

Pistachio Carrot 🍰 🥕 Cake Tiramisu w/ Lion’s Mane ☁️Vegan + can be GF☁️ By the beautiful @thehungrywarrior Carrot Cake Layer ☁️🥕 50 g oats 70 g ground blanched almonds or almond flour 100 g pitted medjool dates 120 g grated carrots 1 tsp cinnamon 1/3 tsp cardamom 1/3 tsp ground ginger 2-4 tsp @animamundiherbals Lion’s mane powder 100 ml plant milk Optional Layer: 6 rusk/Zwieback or other dry (unsweetened/low sugar) cookie 150 ml espresso or other liquid e.g. orange juice Pistachio Cream Cheese Layer ☁️ 50 g cashews soaked in hot water for 30 min 250 g plant based Greek yogurt or skyr/quark 150 g plant based cream cheese 1 tbsp sweetener of choice (opt.) 2-3 tsp pistachio butter Toppings Pistachio butter Chopped pistachios Add all ingredients for the carrot cake layer in a blender and mix until crumbly and well incorporated. Now this layer is optional: Layer the rusk in a baking dish, pour over the espresso and add the carrot cake layer and even out. Clean out the blender and mix the creamy pistachio cream cheese layer ingredients in it and blend until smooth. You can also add the pistachio butter later to adjust the colour/taste to your liking. Add it on top of the carrot cake layer and smooth out. Add dollops of pistachio butter and make swirls with a wooden pic. Add chopped pistachios on top and refrigerate for a minimum of 8-10 hours, better over night.
