1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am currently a full time student at Quinnipiac University. I plan to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing while I study here. I come from a small town in Connecticut but i was actually born in Venezuela. There have been a lot of changes and because of that i have been able to conform with changing environments which i enjoy to do every so often. I tend to keep myself very occupied with creative projects as well.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I have many interested, those include, art, writing, fashion, graphic design and being active. I tend to post a lot of pictures of my life on social media. As a signed model i tend to post a lot of the pictures from my photoshoots, shows and anything i’m doing as part of my agency.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
Valramm came after changing it from valram15 i believe which is also my twitter handle. At first I wanted everything to be uniformed therefore anyone could find me under the same name. However, as i started growing a followers base and became more involved in modeling i wanted a handle that was easy to say and would have both my first and last name combined.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I actually use Facetune but not for the reason you’d think, i actually use it to brighten my high quality pictures without affecting the pixels in the photo. Then if i do edit the photo to add a filter i end up using VSCO cam for a slight tint to every photo. I actually don’t have a stable “theme” i’m always switching it up because i just post all my pictures back to back without really caring for an aesthetic. Although i have started to use a similar tone and tint to every photo to see if i can stick to a theme!
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
Some of my favorite instagrammers are Sonya Esman because of the way she photographs everything as well as the creativity that goes behind her pictures. As well as, Keaton Millburn because her photography is such good quality and i can relate to her as a college student.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Well one thing i did learn that makes a difference is a high quality picture. I don’t know why but now i can’t see myself posting any pictures that are not sharp or well light because it does actually improve your image quality as well as overall profile look.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favorite part about being an influencer is not only being able to collaborate with brands and the people who are behind it but also get the opportunity to reach a larger audience. By working with brands i am able to not only reach my followers but also theirs and create this web of connections through social media.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Something i would strongly recommend for brands to follow is to stick to their promotions and duration of campaigns. I see this happen with a lot of small businesses where they start a campaign or promotion and don’t set a duration of time. I maintain authenticity by putting my own style to everything i do no matter what. Obviously i will stick to what a company asks of me but i’ll also go above and beyond on creativity.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
There is nothing, and i mean nothing worse than seeing your ideas and creativity being copied. I have experienced it myself by others whom i don’t know and people who were close to me. To me the importance of quality and original content is what defines you as a person as well as an influencer. It’s what defines what difference you bring to the table. When you copy any work you simply show that you don’t have any creativity of your own that you don’t have any will power to go out there and be yourself. That is why i believe it’s super important to be confident and put yourself out there.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
My favorite part about partnering with brands is being able to have a one on one connection with a company. There is something about being able to talk to a CEO, entrepreneur, or start up business owner that simply excites me. Simply because they are highly passionate about what they are doing and they believe their products are the best ones out there. This allows me to get motivated and excited to be part of their brand and image.
