1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello! My name is Ma Roma P. Espera-Alonzo. I am currently residing in Bay Area, California. I love creating stuff which includes painting, water colors and calligraphy.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Am a self taught calligraphy, artist, and creates painting for my etsy shop, so far my followers have grow for almost a year, and you can find my works at @calligrapea

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s the acronym of my family name, Ma Roma P. Espera-Alonzo, (mr_pea) and calligraphy. calligra + pea

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Recently, I am inlove with vsco, i don’t edit my photos before, but adjusting the brightness helps to enhance it.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Hmmm, there’s a lot to mention in a world of calligraphy. But Hawaiiancalligraphy, where i have learned a lot, where i got an inspiration to explore the calligraphy. And ThePostmansKnock, where i bought my first starter kit for calligraphy.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Calligraphy is the new trend right now, your handwriting maybe crooked at first, but i been there! Am a self taught calligrapher.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to inspire those who are just starting calligraphy. I been telling them that don’t give up, practice and patience is the main virtue of calligraphy.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You don’t have to knocks on their doors. Show them the very good side and positivity that you can offer. Every person is unique. Each one of us have a different taste. One day, that person will just open that door and will welcome you with knowing it as long as that brand represent you and by not decieving them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality. i experimented one day which hour would i get most likes and how many authentic followers will like and follows me. Saturday and Sunday are my most boring day for IG. Original. I always try to make ideas that are mine and not because of whats the hashtag trending for the day.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s a great partnership which means promoting each other by pushing the other to the top and not pulling the other one below you. You create ideas together, two heads are better than one.
