Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Symieon Harrison @symieon

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi! My name is Symieon, pronounced SIM E ON, and I’m 22! I’m currently living in Omaha, Ne at the moment, but I’m originally from Long Beach, California. I’m currently just working and modeling for an agency here in Omaha, Develop Model Management. I live in Nebraska with my mom and dad at the moment, I plan on moving back to California and hopefully live by myself, but who knows, I might need a roommate! I want to become a traveling model and also big on social media, because I believe I have the style, the personality and the drive.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love love love fashion, styling, modeling, nature and anything exciting. I post more fashion and clothing pictures and maybe the average selfie every once in a while.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well my name is Symieon and not a lot of people have that name, so I just thought it’d be unique to just use my first name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Facetune, VSCO cam and the instagram editor. For facetune I smooth out some blemishes and add a little highlight my face to enhance it a little. I also use Facetune to brighten my background to match my other bright instagram pictures. For VSCO cam I usually lower the exposure, lower the saturation, add a cooler tone to my picture and raise the fade on the picture. I don’t really use the filters at all. Lastly, on instagram I lower the brightness a little more, make the temperature on the picture a tiny bit more cooler and then I add a little more fade to my picture. After all that I upload my picture!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really enjoy makeup and fashion videos and bloggers on instagram. I don’t know everyone’s handle but I do enjoy @iamalfielux, @irisbeilin, @feralcreature, @amylynnphotos, @sudanidoll and @jaidabentley. I chose these instagrammers, because four of them I know personally and it helps me believe I can get noticed just like them and it’s inspiring to see people that you know make it on social media.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think my instagrammers should really try to surround themselves with amazing people who want to build and grow with you and try to know themselves, not saying that they don’t already, but for them to just love and cherish themselves, because you’ll know your worth and know what you want out of life.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I really love showing people that if I can make it, so can they! They just have to be driven.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

To maintain authenticity is to always stay true yourself, your brand and all that you believe in and to never forget it or change it for someone. To run a campaign I think a brand needs something that’ll catch a consumers eye, such as an item or a person, if someone sees a person in campaign wearing a nice jacket then the consumer would look at how the jacket looks on the model and think that it’ll look good on them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

For original content, it’s important to always stay true to your brand and never change it for anything. Always release new, original and dope content. For the importance of quality, juts make sure anything that you’re putting out is worth what you’re selling it for and to make sure that you put yourself in the consumers shoes and look at your product and think to yourself "would you buy this product." Always make sure you release quality items, because if they’re good quality then people will always come back to buy more.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the experience of meeting new people and seeing what they’re all about and how I can help them get their brand out to the world. And I also like the exposure the both of us get.
