Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Allana Rose @Allana_jadeee

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a 20 year old southern girl who is just expressing herself, promoting self-worth, and trying to make it out of her small town on Pensacola, Florida. I have been free-lance modeling for about two and a half years now, and am in the process of teaming up with a model scout to expanded my horizons as well as my destinations. Modeling has started off as a hobby to promote my own confidence coming out of high school after being in a really bad bully case. Eventually, being in front of the camera grew into a love of mine and in which led me here today. Outside of modeling I am on my last 6 weeks of college, and then out of Pensacola I hope to go.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am all over the place when it comes to the type of modeling that I do, but all is to express a happy-go-lucky attitude and to love they skin you’re in. That is mainly what I post, mixed in with a little bit of personal stuff here and there. As bad as I want to travel out of my home town, I can’t seem to get away from the gorgeous beach that sounds me so it’s not hard to find me showing off the scenery every once in while either.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My middle name just so happens to be jade, and my first name Allana. I came up with the name when I made the Instagram way back in the day when the app first came out. It just kind of stuck, and I can’t bring myself to change it now.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Usually, the photos and videos I post came straight from the photographers and videographers that I work with (Luckily they do all the hard work most of the time haha). If it doesn’t come from the talent I collaborated with, I use a simple photo-editor app to just brighten up and smooth of stuff out here and there. A huge pet peeve of mine is photos that are over edited, so small touch ups is all I ever do if anything.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Honestly, a lot of Instagrammers inspire me, in different ways though. Alissaviolet is probably one of my favorite vlogger/grammer. Her personality that thrives and shines through her content is amazing, and she does it is such a comical and classy way. Jeffisy and Treloren are my favorite videographers to date that I haven’t worked with yet. Their styles are unique and just amazing, there is no other word that I can use off the top of my head. Photographers, I could go on and on. I’m always looking at work that others have done and feed off of that inspiration.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

One word. Travel. There is no better feeling than self-love and breaking free of the community and cultures around you. There is so many places to explore, experience, and soak up. Millions of people to encounter, meet, and collaborate with. Do not ever limit yourself. Even if it’s just to the town over that you’ve never been to before. Pick a place, make the move, and travel.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The feedback that I get from others. Some of it is from people I know, others not so much. It is my absolute favorite though when females contact me about modeling or ask questions about me and how I got started. I am a supporter of everyone, and I get a fuzzy feeling when I know that I’m making an impact or influence on someone else’s life.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always stay true to your brand. Make it yours, and never stray away from the reason you wanted to share with the world around you. Think outside of the box and never do what others expect you to do. Too many brands get lost because they end up all blending together. They always seem to end up trying to portray the same message. Stand out and stay true.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People stand out when their view point of the world is different from the ones around them. You can’t have quality if it’s a mimic. Therefore, original content and quality go hand in hand in my personal opinion. You can have the nicest camera, amazing editing skills, and clever captions…but it is all going to be looked over if it’s a copy of someone else’s post or work from a couple of days ago. Originality is what makes you not blend in. All of the well known instagrammers, brands, videographers, and photographers have their own specific style that they portray and stick to. It is what makes them unique and also what makes everyone else wonder "how’d they do that" or say "I want to work with them". My worst fear is to go unnoticed and blend in my entire life. I stay worry-free and am always looking for inspiration, not a copycat.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Collaboration means so much to me. Whether it be with a company or artist. I enjoy it so much because it expands both horizons and minds from both sides. As long as I’m meeting new people, learning and trying new things, and spreading positivity with every post and partnership that I do, I feel like in staying true to what I pictured myself doing…all while feeding off the positivity and passion from someone else and what they believe in and work for. To me, that is what collaboration is all about, meeting new people and hearing about their passion.
