1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Ateia & I am 20 years old turning 21 in June. I am currently a full time student at New York City College of Technology studying Fashion Marketing. I am a Specialist at Apple & I have my own YouTube Channel that I’m building. I work out a lot as well. I’m from Queens, New York!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Topics of interest for me would be beauty/fitness/modeling. I post a lot of photos of myself that promote photographers that I work with as well as posts that promote my Youtube channel "SlaywithAteia".

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name SlaywithAteia came from the original name that I had "ateiaslays". I switched it because I decided that if I’m going to start my YouTube channel and be a brand/ personality, I want my subscribers/followers, viewers, to be apart of me. Slay is a slang for "killed it". My name came around the time when a lot of people began saying "slay" when you wore an outfit really well, makeup/hair is flawless.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I edit my photos on Squaready, Lightroom, or Final Cut Pro. It all really depends on the photo and the mood that I want the photo to give my viewers.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Some Instagrammers whom I really like is @desiperkins @bundleofbrittany. These two instagrammers inspire me the most because they are consistent with delivering content and trying new things. They are active on every social media.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Boscia Black Mask because it removes blackheads from your face like no other mask & its very popular right now for both men and women. A clean fresh face is important!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is seeing my followers and subscribers positive feedback towards my work. I love motivating & entertaining.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My top tips to brands running campaigns is offering things that you know your target audience wants to see. You can maintain authenticity by being consistent and putting out good content.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The importance of quality and original content is a major aspect of anything regarding social medial and promoting for the reason being that being yourself and showing your full personality will draw viewers towards you naturally. Quality is important because you must keep the viewers attention span. You do this by getting to the point as quickly as possible. Making things seamless for your target is the most important.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love collaborating and also showing viewers my opinion on different brands. I love reviewing & promoting brands/products that work for me.
