Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Shukor bin Zailan @shukorzailan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a from Singapore. Age, 32 , married with 2 kids, boy aged 7 and girl, 3. Plus another baby girl on the way due this coming October 2018 so that makes me a father of 3. 😂
I am currently self employed and doing mainly football coaching with Active SG kids football. I am also currently pursuing my interest for music and taking up DJ course. I was a professional football player in Singapore and also managed to represent the country for a short stint with the National Team from 2010-2011. I enjoy outdoors and hands on skills.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Football, football boots, sneakers, music, clothing, travelling, food and electronics interest me. Currently most of my post are football related.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name came about because i am who i am. I feel it’s easier for people to search me up with just my name instead of nicks. I want to be recognised and easily remembered online and offline.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Most photos are just filtered using the IG itself. For videos i used Splice app. Recently i tried out Cinemagraph and Hypno.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Locally i like Joakim Gomez alot. Internationally David Beckham.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Recreating my freekick videos.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I engaged with alot of new people. And it’s been positive. I like to tell young footballers about trying and fail rather than success.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Someone who is a fan of the brand will bring the authenticity to a good level.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Any ideas put up by an influencer i think it’s original. And being natural with slangs and errors makes it better. We don’t need to show about being perfect. As long as we are sincere about it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s the product testing and reviewing that i like alot.
