Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Sabina Stan @ivegotsunshineblog

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi there! My name is Sabina and I have a style and travel blog – www.IveGotSunshine.com. I am Romanian, but I have been based in Vancouver, Canada for 8 years (although with the traveling involved, I could be anywhere!) 🙂 I used to have my own fashion design company until I switched paths and realized that blogging is much more fulfilling to me. Of course, my passion for style and fashion is still seen throughout my current blog, as well as traveling. As the name of the blog states, I like to see the brighter side in everything 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

The main topics are fashion/style and travel, but I also post about lifestyle. I try to inspire my audience as much as possible.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

The name of the account is a reflection of my blog – I’ve Got Sunshine. It had to naturally fall into the same name as my business.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO would be a primary app for editing the photos (especially for the filters), but I also use Snapseed occasionally.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are many, but among those I can name @tuulavintage (she is amazing at inspiring me to travel more, and her photos are stunning), @jannid (so sweet and stylish), @vivaluxuryblog (amazing sense of style and gorgeous photos), @kristinabazan (love her style and artistic shots), and @dametraveler (for the amazing travel photography).

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would say Instagram Stories. They seem quite popular at the moment and everyone on Instagram should try to use them.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with people and brands and the excitement of new collaborations! I also love that every day is a different day, so boredom is never an issue 🙂 And of course, doing something that I love and that gives me a feeling of joy and fulfilment.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Authenticity is the key to running a successful campaign.
For influencers, I’d say to stay true to your personality and what you stand for, and don’t ever make it sound like you’re selling something… Be as natural as possible, and that’s how you can gain your audience’s trust, which is the goal in this case.
As for brands, I’d say to not only search for the perfect fit in an influencer, but look also at the engagement they are receiving, and not always their following numbers (which can sometimes be deceiving).

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

A good, quality photo can speak words to your audience, so that would be the first and most important aspect of the content I would focus on. Find a different angle and get creative with your space and props, all within keeping your branded image and colors consistent.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love discovering new brands that I love and presenting them to the world through my personality! It’s always exciting and I feel humble at the same time when a brand offers me this opportunity.
