Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Rebecca Swiss @rebecca_swiss

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in Brazil, raised in Florida. Now I live just outside of Salt Lake City Utah with my husband, Dan, our adorable puppy- Lady Swiss, and our baby boy Aiden Fox. We love living life to its fullest and enjoying good friends, good food, and great adventures. I grew up on stage dancing ballet for 21 years, and performed with Miami City Ballet and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Since January 2016, I have been doing the Kayla Itsines BBG (bikini body guide) program with some yoga/weights and lost 65lbs (weight I gained from my pregnancy)! I’m currently working on attaining the best physical shape I have ever been in and I love sharing my journey to help others know that if I can do it, then they can too.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My blog and Instagram are a mixture of fashion, lifestyle, and fitness. I want to inspire others to overcome their insecurities and become the best version of themselves they can be. If it be through some fitness inspiration/motivation, style tips, or even just some real life events, I want people to know that they are never alone and that if they believe in themselves, they have the ability to become whoever they’d like to be.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Haha I couldn’t come up with one so I just used my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use a photographer a lot because I love sharing my relationship with my husband and family to my followers. But I love taking our own photos too and the app I use the most is VSCO. It’s THE BEST!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I have tons of instagramera who inspire me but my top favs are Kayla Itsines, she changed my life with her workouts and is such a genuinely kind and beautiful person. I also love Hello Fashion Blog, My Sweat Life, Rachel Parcell, and Amber Fillerup.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

BBG (Bikini Body Guide) by Kayla Itsines and my absolutely favorite lipstick LipSense! Ok that’s not one thing hahah but these two things completely changed my fashion and physical life.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The whole reason why I do what I do is because I want to help people. I want to make others happy and most of all, I want them to know that they are never alone in this journey of life and its trials. My dream is to touch as many people as I can in hopes that I have helped make their world a better place just like those I look up to and have changed my life.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I only post about what I genuinely like and use. It doesn’t matter how much I’m getting paid, I want my followers to know that they can trust me. I try to be as real and as honest as I can be. So, my tip for brands would be to find influencers to work with who match their product.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People can tell when something is fake or copied. My followers know my style of posting and I also respond to them often to build a relationship with them. I want to share with them my real life experiences in my posts so being original is very important to me. It lasts important to not try to be someone else because they already exist. As an influencer, you want to focus on your story and hope that people will want to follow. Quality is important as well because you need to capture the audiences attendtion in order to get them to want to follow your story.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Building relationships with other ambitious people is my favorite part of partnering with brands. I’m building a company with my blog and Instagram and I love finding others who are doing the same. It’s inspiring! I also love learning about products that I didn’t even know I would love and having the opportunity to not only build these relationships but also make an income to help support my family is amazing.
