Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Palak @Palakborichaa

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a 18 years old self taught makeup artist. I’m currently preparing for my engineering entrance exams along with maintaining a social media profile and doing makeup also serving best looks to my followers.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topic of interest would be Beauty and makeup. I create my own makeup looks on myself and post them on my profile. I started doing it for fun during lockdown but eventually it became my passion and now I’m totally trying to be devoted to my passion.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is palak and since my niche is makeup i came up with a mix name that is palkkup which i use as my hashtag.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I click pictures on portrait mode on my phone itself which is redmi note 9. I then import them on Lightroom and adjust the lights and add vignette effect. This helps me enhance my makeup looks more clearly and nicely.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like mua and influencers like @ishanimitraa and @hhbomberr i love them both personally. @hhbomberr inspires me the most since her techniques and trasitions are something not anyone can do and also the amount of hardwork she puts behind editing is mind-blowing.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love to receive nice comments and i like it when people actually appreciate me and my work. I love it when people get inspired by me and they actually wait for me to post another look because that’s just how excited they are. I love getting new opportunities and making social relations with others who have same niche as mine.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I went through starngage and i am already in love with how good this website is. It actually makes it so easier for influencers to find what’s best for them on top of that it’s really easy to handle. I totally loved it and I’m gonna be using it for a long time now. I haven’t been able to join any campaigns yet since I’m just getting started but I’m sure I’ll be able to join one soon.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think brands should be kind and they should engage with their partners politely making sure that both the sides are getting the best out of the given situation. I think by being true about your opinions and having a non-biased state of mind and also being kind and polite no matter the circumstances, that’s how one can maintain aunthencity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

As for me i know how rare it is to find some quality and original content since people are more about stealing contents without giving creadits and also using someone else’s work as theirs. I guess original content should be appreciated and credited since it’s not easy to find such raw quality and original content these days. That’s why i try my best to create every makeup look i do by myself getting inspired by my own thoughts.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I still haven’t got the opportunity to work with any brand but after joining starngage I’m hoping to work with one soon. But in general the best part about partnering would be able to get in touch with brands, and maintaining a business relation with them
