Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Nik Amanie @_nikamanie

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a 20-year-old student who is still studying, pursuing Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance in one of the top universities in the world. I do accept modelling jobs and also private tutoring. i am a very hardworking and passionate girl who puts her heart and soul into what she is doing. I am brave enough to try something new and I am not that type of person who gives up easily until I achieve what I target and aim for.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am interested in fashion, makeup, money, food and anything in between. Most of the pictures I post on Instagram are my ootds followed by my face with full makeup on. Be it makeup made by myself or be it the ones made by professional makeup artists. I normally post what I eat and scenery on Instagram stories or Snapchat.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Nothing much, it is just my first name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Almost all of my photos are edited by my all time favorite editing app called VSCO. Usually I just brighten the picture to 2.0-3.0, I contrast it by 1.00. i love to tint my photos and i can go up to 3.00-4.00. I sharpen my photos a little bit and i lower the temperature of the photo if it is too yellow. Sometimes i increase the saturation if it looks fade.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Yes, I do. Her name is @vivyyusof, co-founder of one of the best online shopping sites, Fashion Valet and she own a headscarf brand called dUCk. She just turned 29 (with two kids) and she has built the fashion empire 10 years ago with her husband (so called boyfriend back then). Since I am really into fashion, I really love how she can pull off any outfit. I also really admire how she can handle her daily life as a wife, mother, entrepreneur. I admire how she has become from back then until she becomes as successful as she is now. She is the type who is never going to give up if she cannot manage to get what she aims for. She is definitely not a quitter. She is also a perfectionist where she wants everything to be precise and perfect in every way of all aspects.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They should support people instead of judging them. Or at least, just don’t bother about what people are going to do. They should learn the lesson and follow successful people’s steps. Create a business with their original ideas, travel the world, and so on.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Honestly, I really like when top brands in my country notice me and they started to sponsor me for every month. I fell very honored. I also like it when strangers stopped and wanted to take pictures with me. I feel loved and appreciated.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I would suggest them to try something new that no one else can think of. The theme, the color, the concept.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Yes, I love this! It is so important to have original content than to copy from others. It might tell people that you have your own signature that people look for from your brand.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like when I am featured in their page, I do feel honored.
