Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ng U-shin @ushin_ng

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently achieving my study goal for Degree in Mass communication at Inti college. I come from Malaysia, live in the state of Selangor.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

A girl who likes to take sports (few: swimming, bicycle, and climbing mountain), travelling, food hunting, and also fashion. Normally post more on my outfits, travelling, and food (every kind of food).

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s obviously came from my name, and because a lot of people are saying that they found my name is special too.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I’ve been using “meitu”, “photogrid” (sometimes), and “Vsco”. I am kind of person who is alwyas pursuing perfection so why don’t I just edit my photo nicely before it published to the public.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Yes, there are alwyas someone who really caught my attentions. They are currently: @jyjosephine, @nutsaw ( both malaysians), @nanny (Thai), celebrities such as lilycolins, kyliejenner, victoria Beckham, and other nations of celebrities.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would like to see how they cook, or any “how-to” / tutorial videos. And also their crafting.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

It’s really enjoy to have your own followers that would like to see the photos you taken/share, this mean to me somehow. Because without them, I wouldn’t have put so much effort on posting my photos.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Create a social media account or fan page to gain attention from the others and engage your participants with hashtags, and make effort in staying close with them by giving a like or comment on positive submissions.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Don’t afraid to be yourself even you know you don’t have a good body figure or things that you aren’t good enough with, you have to try before you judge your self. Be confident and be your own limited edition.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The best about partnering with brands for me is to helping them to achieve their goals, gain awareness for the brand itself. And of course would like to have benefits from them.
