Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Monique @Moniquexkyra

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a girl from a small town in the state of Washington called Chehalis. But I’ve always been a city girl at heart. Right now I am currently living in Seattle as a Makeup Artist! I work for a Makeup and Spa retailer called Blue Mercury. Makeup and fashion are my passions.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My main topics of interest are anything beauty and fashion related. That’s what I post on Instagram the most!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I really like my first and middle name. So I figured I would just keep it simple and go with that.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My holy grail photo editing apps would have to be Facetune and VSCO Cam. I use Facetune to perfect some of my photos if needed, and then I always use VSCO Cam for my photo filters. They have so many filters to choose from, I haven’t found a photo app I love as much as VSCO!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Oh gosh, i get inspired by so many Instagrammers! Some of top faves would have to be ByBrookelle and her amazing makeup skills, Kylie Jenner, and Sarah Ashcroft.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I am newly obsessed with the Smith and Cult nail polishes. The packaging is aaamazing and the polish stays on like gold!! I highly recommend to all of the beauty lovers out there.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer would have to be connecting with so many different people who have the same passion as me. I love inspiring people to try new things.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I suggest focusing your campaign one one main topic, in return you’re going to attract the right type of audience who will be interested in the campaign and want to participate! I maintain authenticity by always staying true to myself. I won’t parter with a brand or promote their products unless I use them myself. I believe being authentic is one of the best qualities to have!

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The importance of quality and original content is more important than ever! With social media and Instagram at an all time high, everyone is trying to create similar content. If you’re able to take content that has already been created, and put a different twist on it, that’s how you get recognized.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love getting the opportunity to meet new people and try new things! So partnering with brands is my favorite way to do that.
