Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Brie Hemingway @briehemingway

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Over the past few years, I have spent hundreds of hours running the roads and trails of Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. I am very involved in the local trail running community, both as a runner and serial volunteer. My biggest accomplishments include the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim-to-rim, running the Gorge Waterfalls 100km, completing 10 Grouse Grinds in one day, and finishing the 250 km, 7-day TransAlpine Run in southern Germany through Austria to northern Italy. I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Running, trail running, outdoors, adventure, travel

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s just my name 🙂

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Instagram for filters/editing and sharing and Word Swag if I need to add text.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@ultramassey @ultrafarring13 @runfoxxirun @runnylegs @ultrarunnersd

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Summit a mountain!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with other influencers and social media users. I have made a surprising amount of awesome friends through social media!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

If a product is good, I (and others) will use it all the time and it will naturally be in a lot of photos. Authenticity can’t be forced.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

In my opinion, it is important to capture the perfect moment, not the perfect photo that’s why I love selfies, group pics, and action shots! I prefer there should be an element of spontaneity and fun, rather than a cool, calculated professional photograph.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love to try out new products and gear and share my experiences with it. I think my ideal job would be as a running gear and clothing tester. I’m pretty rough on everything and appreciate durability! Speaking of which, I ripped my running pants last weekend hopping over a fence and am now looking for a pants sponsorship 😉
