Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mohamad Sammak @mohamadsammak

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m 22 years old, I’m graduating next year with my Radio/TV degree. I’m originally from Beirut, Lebanon yet I also hold the Canadian nationality. I lived a good share of my life in both countries and now I am based in Beirut. I’m a Tv anchor on MTV Lebanon, I host a daily live program that discusses many topics that interest the youth (Ex: Movies, music, trends, fashion, technology etc…) I am also a freelance Producer that works on ads, promotions and short movies (I sometimes act in commercials) and an event coordinator in NRJ the radio station. On the side I’m a writer and post quotes on my Instagram.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My posts consists of pictures of myself with friends having fun in a new nightclub, hiking or trying a new activity or co-workers during a shoot or at the studio and sometimes in special events/openings I’m attending. I also post posters of upcoming events I’m working on. I’ve been also posting my writings as quote pictures.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I just used my original birth name.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like Drake’s Instagram (Champagnepapi) he is really active on Instagram, and he is pretty inspirational. No need to explain much about this man.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Take pictures in nature. People aren’t spending enough time in nature, its already beautiful on its own and the picture itself doesn’t need much filters.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The fact that someone considers you as an inspiration is already the biggest reward.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

1. Be original
2. Be simple
3. Be open to new suggestions (The world is changing everyday)
You can remain authentic when you stay true to the brand’s mission, reflection and spirit.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is of no question that the quality of the content has to be exceptional because for me “good” is not good enough. But most importantly being original guarantees the influencer his/her own touch even if its a bad touch, at least people can recognize that influencer no matter the situation. So creating content from scratch and making sure its presented in a proper way is key to keep people coming.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It provides both parties, the brand and myself to achieve our goals simultaneously and manage to get the attention of people to discover and discuss the new plans of the partnership.
