1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am a photographer based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have a true passion for creation interesting and engaging content for myself and others. Right now I am working on growing both my on brand and others by producing on trend content for their social outlets. I started out my photography journey like most people in High School. I learnt film based photography and got very proficient at it, as a result I feel I have a better understanding of light and how to create an image with feeling.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I am interested in all things edgy, eye catching, natural and urban. I post only my own work on Insta and keep it to my specific “filmy” vibe.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My Insta name is simply my name. I am selling myself an I believe this helps me stay true to that.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I use VSCO film presets in Lightroom only. I don’t really do much at all to my photos to keep them as real as possible.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
Right now @bob_sala and @emanueleferrariph are my absolute favorite photographers. I love Emanuele’s edgy stuff and Bob’s soft 60’s vibe.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Chipotle sauce.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
Using my images to help connect brands to their audience in an organic way. I also love the travel 🙂
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I have worked for a number of small local clothing designers and the way we do it and keep it real is we simply load the car up and head somewhere cool and chill out. The camera comes out later on and we snap while we have fun!
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
People are not stupid, they will look right through an overly commercial image and see only the corporate message within. With my work people can not help by smash the like button and engage with the party’s tagged.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
Working WITH someone rather than FOR someone. These relationships are more like friendships than business deals.
