Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Masis Usenmez @masisus

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m 37 years old, stret photographer located at Istanbul/Turkey. I’m studying Master of Photography at Marmara University. I’m Married and have two kids.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I specially take photos of life on the streets. I can say that i’m a street photographer because of that. Mostly i upload black&white street photos on my Instagram account.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Masis is my name and us is the first two letters of my surname. It’s looks like the Maximus character at Gladiator movie.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

For mobile photography i use snapseed. I like it’s black&white process. I do not use harsh editing on my photos. I just use black and white and give some contast. At my desktop computer i use lightroom as the same way with snapseed, just minor fixing.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Erik Kim is the most inspiring instagram account for me. I also like street photography collective’s accounts.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just take pictures of what they like. Don’t be shy and try your best.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like the answer newcomer’s questtions and give them some self-reliance. I know it’s hard to star with zero knowledge.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Don’t just look the instagrammer’s follower number. Quality is more important then quantity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Original content is the most important thing. If you can give original contents you will get more attention and your follower number will be increase in a short time.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s a challenge for both sides. I like to be part in a challenge.
