1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am a young lady who has just finished a college degree in Audiovisual Communications. Also, I am a freelance photographer, social media manager and blogger. I am from Málaga, a beautiful coastal city in the south of Spain.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I am inspired by every kind of art, the ocean and feminity. I love fashion and music, if I would have to define my style I would say it’s a mixure of bohemian, minimalism and rock ‘n’ roll. I post about fashion and lifestyle, mostly.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
Marta Norgaard is my artistic name. My real name is Marta Montañez, but I changed the surname after discovering The Vaccines’ song “Norgaard”, which I love. I think it makes my name more “international”, as the “ñ” from Montañez doesn’t exist out of Spain.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I always use VSCOcam filters because I love the analogue style they give to my photos, and then I use Snapseed if I need to retouch specific details like saturation or brightness in some sections of the photo. Sometimes I shoot with my DSLR and edit the photos directly on my computer (not on the phone) so I use lightroom (also with VSCO’s presets).
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I love many Instagram accounts. Some of my favourites are @collagevintage, @mikutas, @mija_mija, @marcostories and @estercuni. They create awesome stories in each photo and inspire me so much!
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
I love being invited to events and get to know (and work for) many brands and amazing people. It is really cool knowing people from all over the world with the same interests that you have.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I think the best advice I can give is to choose the influencers they work with based on their talent, not their number of followers or likes. Followers, like fame, come and go easily. But someone that creates quality content, will build a better image for their brands. I always try to stay different and only work with brands that I love, if I don’t feel identified with their style, I don’t work with them.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
As I said before, quality is the most important thing to me. It is the only thing that makes me come back to someone’s profile again and again, I love a great picture with an unique style.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I enjoy including a products that I love in my lifestyle pictures. When I partner with a brand, I always choose the items that I like the most to be featured in my posts. I am always trying to keep my style but giving the photos a touch that defines the brand’s image.
