Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Leah Biernacki @Lielapics

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m from Denton, TX originally, but I recently sold all of my stuff and will be boarding a plane to Iceland in a few days. It’s been my dream for a long time to be a nomad and I’m finally doing it. I’m a real estate photographer by trade and hope to transfer those skills to landscape and design travel photography.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My areas of interests include travel, nature and landscape, and sometimes food and beverage and product photography. My instagram posts of late have mostly been nature photos from the dfw area. Work is crazy during the summer so I don’t have much time to get out and shoot for myself, but that’s changing in a few days.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My real first name is Leah but I like the flow of Liela better and then pics because that’s what I’m sharing.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I shoot almost exclusively on my dslr instead of my phone so everything spends a bit of time in lightroom before it’s posted anywhere. Most things I post on instagram also get a bit of retouching in the VSCO app before the final makes its appearance.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

In really inspired by Forrestmankins, Andrewtkearns, and Palomaparrot. There are dozens of others too.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Getting outside and looking at things from a different angle. There’s so much beauty out there even if it doesn’t seem like it.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Having people find joy through my work.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I feel like product placement shouldn’t be overtly obvious. It should feel natural and convey a message bigger than the brand.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and originality reflect back on you, they reflect your work ethic, your personality, your style, and help give a sense of who you are.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Getting to learn about new products that I may find useful to my life.
