1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
Right now, I work as a business consultant at a local non-profit organization and I specialize in marketing, branding, product placement, and content creation. I come from Pennsylvania originally and now I live in North Carolina. I’ve always been very artistic so the creativity of marketing combined with the challenge of business really intrigued me.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
My main topics of interest are nutrition, parenting, Billy Joel (haha)…I really love music and I’m always jammin’. I also feature a few businesses that I like and frequent. Honestly though, there’s very little rhyme or reason. Most of my content is not pre-planned. I snap a photo and post it on the spot and I take videos as I go about my day. I have a particular style I stick to and I only post about what I truly dig and what I do with my time. Other than that, it’s fair game!
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
Well I really love to eat-especially healthy stuff so Guac seemed cool and then I also love music so I combined those two interests.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I literally just use Instagram filters. I like to keep things simple and I don’t spend alot of time on one certain photo…or any content really. I think time is very important so I try to post and be as productive and efficient as possible.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I really like Shutthekaleup because she’s so funny and authentic. I also enjoy watching Leefromamerica’s stories because she’s very candid and a wealth of information.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Jam to Billy Joel on your way into work every morning. Game changer.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
I love getting to be creative. I love product placement and taking photos. It really makes me happy and I’m glad other people enjoy it too.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
As far as running campaigns I would say make it count. The whole point is to grab someones attention because there is SO much out there for people to look at so don’t post anything that isn’t relevant.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
My advice on quality and original content is: take your time. I spend more time placing products and adjusting my angle then I do editing the photo or thinking of a caption. Get a quality photo with good lighting and always create your own, original content. You’re your own brand and no one else can be you-so rock that.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I love partnering with brands mostly because I really like to help others achieve their dreams and goals. When I find a brand that supports a good cause or a product that I truly love and use, I love to share that with others. It’s really a win/win.
