Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jim Knight @jimmericks

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a YouTube Vlogger currently living in Brighton, UK with my best friend. I make vlogs of my day to day life on YouTube and my Instagram account complements my YouTube channel and my online personality.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post my day to day activities, food and general lifestyle posts on Instagram. I also feature products and anything else I have been loving.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

From my YouTube channel.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use the photoshop express app to edit my photos and sometimes use the picjoiner app if I want to make a collage. I also really like the Instagram editing tools, so I very often use those too!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love Connor Franta’s Instagram! I also enjoy seeing certain organisation and businesses Instagrams, especially some local ones here in Brighton of coffee shops and restaurants etc.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

The pizza express Christmas menu!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to be creative and get that satisfying feeling when you post content that you are really happy with.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Get influencers to produce content that really showcases the product on a level that a ‘viewer’ or follower would be able to heavily relate to. On Instagram this can be done through the use of a series of videos on stories, or a video on your Instagram feed that really showcases a product.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Very important! Be yourself and don’t try to copy everyone else’s instagrams! Yours needs to stand out so that people remember it and follow you to come back for more!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to try out new products (as well as showing my followers, I also really enjoy trying them out too!)
